To 15 Incredible Years!

Oh What A Night!

Thursday night I was feted by my bosses and colleagues to celebrate 15 incredible years of working on the US Government Affairs Team at Microsoft!

Thank you Fred Humphries and Matt Gelman for an awesome reception - which included a specialty cocktail inspired by my Microsoft awarded eight-week sabbatical in France, a DJ, delicious appetizers, and an amazing digital photo album prepared by Christiana Meyers! It was an awesome privilege to work at Microsoft, and I am grateful to have served alongside the smartest, most supportive, and passionate people I have ever met.

In my remarks, I thanked my current and former colleagues on the Congressional team John SampsonDavid Pryor, Jr.Frank CavaliereAllison HalataeiChan ParkJames FarrellJessica VallejoAnais CarmonaChristiana MeyersZoya Rukh Awan, MBAScott McCullers) for their partnership, collaboration, and friendship. We will always be family!

Next, I thanked the “heart” of the US Government Affairs (USGA) Team – the Administrative, Finance and Operations Team (Rose Gay, CJ Alfaro, Meaghan Larson, Anne Marie Mason, Erik Lloyd, Asha Binbek, MPPTaylor Jones, and Taria Singleton), led by USGA Chief of Staff Todd Payne, for their exceptional work, collaboration, and friendship!

The moment was made even sweeter by being joined by my former boss and fellow partner at Squire Patton Boggs! And the “icing on the cake” was sharing my appreciation for Congressman Adam Smith’s (WA-9) statement in the Congressional Record recognizing me for my 15 years with Microsoft, and my public service contributions.

Above all, I was beyond thrilled that our son Moses Fishman - who grew up in the office and is an avid Xbox gamer - was able to share this moment with me after completing a successful semester of university in Southern France. It warmed my heart that the love I received from my colleagues extended to Moses, who received a new Xbox One!

Thank you all for empowering me to be and do more! My family and I will always be grateful for everything Microsoft has done for us, the places it has taken me, and the remarkable people that have touched our lives!

Stay tuned for what awaits in the next chapter.
